Nevermind the fine print, it says if we don't come up with another way to power our civilization, we're screwed!
Notice the thin yellow line that goes off the chart in direct coorelation to the colorful graph of the sum of all the petroleum sources. That line represents a population explosion powered by oil (and I'd like to think that it tapers gently away with the decline of oil nice and peaceful-like, but human history does little to support my pollyanna theories of the future). That line also represents all the millions of people that will inevitably become embroiled in the conflagration over the last hours of ancient sunlight. Our children.
