Anybody else notice that you can't seem to file your taxes anymore without the "help" of a private organization (I'd like to remind the class drill it into your fucking heads that facsism was known as corporatism before the nazis got involved. . .) Yet, more shit they'll sneak by the american public all dolled up as convenience.

An insurance rep. is supposed to contact me regarding LB's motorcycle crash a couple weekends ago. Of course, they can't take a statement over the phone. They'll try to set up an appointment to meet with me in person. Where's the service that sends a replacement in my stead?

Fuckers!

With homeownership comes a long list of tools to be acquired dictated by the house, itself, on a strickly 'need to know' basis.

The check scanner that will not die is having more, and random problems (software related). Management seems to think that an upgrade to the hardware will "fix all that". I don't think they make the distinction between hardware and software. Why do intelligent people believe that putting yet more time, energy, and money into something that doesn't really fit the need to begin with will make it better? What was wrong with going to the bank in person? This is not progress - Oh, unless it's shiney!

The phone number published on CH's website, etc. has been forwarded to my desk. Random has direct access to my time/attention. . . whenever they want! That's okay. I don't really need to get anything done - ever. . . .

BTW, what's up with the random hispanic auto-dialers from 209.742.9898?

I am compelled to create a new icon that reads "Alcohol can fix that!"

Funny how big & broad that statement can be.

I haven't filed my taxes. . . in like three years. I need to get on that. Mine are fairly straight forward. . .just me and my income. I'm surprised your job actually wants to BUY a replacement for anything, I heard that's taboo in most work facilities. I will never own a home unless I plan to burn it down and collect the insurance. Oh and I was filling out EOE forms today for various jobs and found that the question before asking what my "ethnic origin" (what happened to "race"?) was whether or not I was Hispanic or Latino. No, not if I was white or black or asian. Just those two. Definitely tell management that photocopying checks and the gas and mileage to the bank would be cheaper!

I actually prefer "ethnic origin", where "what flavor of brown person are you?" is actually what the form is getting at. Whenever I saw "race" I'd always check "other" and write in "human".

It's a wonder I ever got a job, went to school, staked a claim, etc, etc, etc. I'm a very difficult individual to collect personal data from.

I'm beginning to think I should just opt out of the EOE forms. One asked about disability and disabled veterans. I can't decide if being white is a strike against me or not. I mean I'm female. Maybe I should check the disability box? They need stats for their EOE stuff to be well rounded, right? For "race" I always want to put "Sure, I win!" If I fill out another account for a job for a company today there might be puke.

Oh I was uploading pics on picasa from my PC today and found one of you in my pink fuzzy hat that steve bought me for christmas, in jen's apartment, holding a beer, grinning like a schmuck! We should hang out. I need more pictures like that!

I'm am opposed to putting information in little boxes. Security clearances established the phobia, taxes reinforce it (as does homeownership, but H handled the majority of that). How's that for race: schmuck

And we totally should! I expect my personal space to start emptying out considerably, here very soon; although I'm not certain that affords us a place to sit.

I know plenty of people who fall into that race. I think I married one.
Sitting is optional. You should see where I'm living. Sitting is only an actual option on the bed!

Yes. Yes you are.

Continue on with your general awesomeness.

Well, those "always" and "everyone" statements tend get me into trouble a lot of the time, and only later do I realise I have stated them out of context, or didn't qualify them properly (der. . . )

But thank you for thinking so.

Oh, and for the cat. . . It was delicious!

At least you have an option. We still have every horizontal surface covered in kipple. I'm busting to post "before" and "after" pictures of Medford, but I'm still dealing with the reality of "during". It goes without saying that I'm a little envious of my more organized contemporaries.

Hey, it's process!
