Thanks,
May. 8th, 2007 09:51 amYearning for simpler days. . . .
May. 8th, 2007 11:34 amAnybody else notice that you can't seem to file your taxes anymore without the "help" of a private organization (I'd like to remind the class drill it into your fucking heads that facsism was known as corporatism before the nazis got involved. . .) Yet, more shit they'll sneak by the american public all dolled up as convenience.
An insurance rep. is supposed to contact me regarding LB's motorcycle crash a couple weekends ago. Of course, they can't take a statement over the phone. They'll try to set up an appointment to meet with me in person. Where's the service that sends a replacement in my stead?
Fuckers!
With homeownership comes a long list of tools to be acquired dictated by the house, itself, on a strickly 'need to know' basis.
The check scanner that will not die is having more, and random problems (software related). Management seems to think that an upgrade to the hardware will "fix all that". I don't think they make the distinction between hardware and software. Why do intelligent people believe that putting yet more time, energy, and money into something that doesn't really fit the need to begin with will make it better? What was wrong with going to the bank in person? This is not progress - Oh, unless it's shiney!
The phone number published on CH's website, etc. has been forwarded to my desk. Random has direct access to my time/attention. . . whenever they want! That's okay. I don't really need to get anything done - ever. . . .
BTW, what's up with the random hispanic auto-dialers from 209.742.9898?
I am compelled to create a new icon that reads "Alcohol can fix that!"
