Independence, a declaration

I think this years' was probably the most unamerican quatro y julio ever. . .

I shunned social opportunities, I parked my car, I killed my lawn, I sipped absinthe and listened to it rain.

. . . mostly alone, go figure.

So where independence is concerned I think the only more independent thing I could've done was all of the above, only without clothes. Aren't you glad you made plans?
