What was a nice black-and-white choice has become a hodge-podge of varying grays since GroupLogic gave my job to someone else. Options now come down to Working at Hospice and REI part-time, which is the least income, but most flexibility; until such point as Hospice goes full-time, and REI is a optioal, rather than a necessary, supplement. It's not that I don't like REI, I just question whether I genuinely fit there. Plus REI is a trainwreck of a schedule (forget trying to make plans on the weekend). E, here at Hospice, is really supportive and loves to give pep-talks on the subject. I want REI to work, I'd just rather the motivation come from within rather than from others. My other option is to accept a job driving a dump truck for enough money to actually live on and REI becomes instantly optional. Though, as I mentioned this reduces my flexibility and further fractures (I'm no longer thinking in terms of versatility) my work history. Where it will offer opportunities for growth, I'm really not sure that's the direction that I want to grow. I have to tell them one way or the other today.

There is something here I'm not seeing. Emotionally speaking, I'm standing in my own way . . .

The phrase of the day is: Ripple Effect

On 2nd thought . . .

I hate REI, and I couldn't give notice fast enough on Sunday. Note: Clear introverts should never work retail, unless you're just into that kind of challenge. Personally I have enough up-hill battles as it is, thanks!

I called K this morning and declined the driving job (too secure?). Fuck it. There is no rationalizing this in my experience.

Somewhere in the upper frequencies of the bandwidth of my own thoughtwaves resonates the calm, clear voice; simply saying . . . .
