Just when I was settling down and actually starting to forgive Hospice its transgressions. . .

The events department here just went to dump 10 bottles of various liquors (scotch and vanilla vodka among them) from past events because they had been opened! If anyone was ever wondering what becomes of the donations to charitable organizations . . .
there went my support.

What's next, burning books that may or may not have been edited?

Well, what else are you going to do with open liquor where I presume that drinking on the job is generally frowned upon? perhaps someone was partaking without permission. i'd pour it out, too. in fact, I have, several times as a teenager, watered the back yard with copious amounts of bourbon and vodka to eliminate a perceived health hazard to the rest of my family.

Uhm. . .

. . . give 'em to me!

These were full save for a ounce or two and were left over from hospice events from the resent past. They're being overly cautious where there is no real or perceived health hazard.

Hospice really should stick to comforting the dying and leave comforting the living to us amateur bartenders!

your comment reminded me of a copy of "Primary Colors" I got @ some book sale or other. Someone had gone through and blacked out all the swear words plus some that aren't even real swear words - I kid you not. Trying to read it was excruciating. I think I gave up about 2/3 of the way through, which is very unusual for me.

So they can have that book to burn. More power to 'em.
