doodlemaierToday is TL's last day as an development infomation specialist for Capital Hospice. After 15 years of this she's retiring and leaving us some big shoes to fill. She's the one that single-handedly changed my view of Raiser's Edge from that of a clunky dinosaur stuck in a tar pit to a powerwful and versatile information transistor. You naturally think of any computer application's 'power users' as being young, hip, etc. (you know, you live the stereotype). Although she doesn't nearly look it, she's in her 60's!
So Hospice threw her a little retirement bash at the home of one of the events directors (yes, that'd be great) and I took my camera with me to capture all the fleeting moments and Hospice history who came to make an appearance. I had to leave early, though (because, as I said, we've big shoes to fill without her!) I gave Caroline a quick 101 on the Nikon and left it with her not knowing that she wasn't coming right back to office after the party - and it's Friday! I know she'll be careful with it, and I trust her but I feel like I left her with my kid or something. Although it does no good now, one can't help but to worry . . . Even though I'll see her tomorrow bright and early at Guns-o-rama it'll be on my mind for that many hours.

mountainfreak's photobox woes, I've been taking every opportunity to appreciate my camera; thinking of it in terms of someday not being right here in my hand.
