Date: 2006-01-22 10:07 pm (UTC)I remembered batik while I was in the library the other day with sprog-by-proxy, but since the last time I had any exposure was in elementary school art class, some of the finer points of the craft were a little hazy (for instance, how does one get melted wax out of cotton fabric?) But I found this great book geared for kids (and therefore, me!), and well, Batik has all the elemental aspects of interest for the grrrl and she definitely has the family curse for art.
With that, I'm also looking for a class that we can take together in wheel-thrown ceramics.
