Why do you suffer this?

Because you can, because you perceive it as being so. Because you are resisting something on an internal level, or because you haven't yet been able to figure out a way to manipulate the external situation to suit your expectations. Because you have expectations to begin with . . .
There is no redemption for you in the form of some 'divine justice' waiting for the right moment somewhere in the future to come along and make it all better. There is no heavenly eye upon you with a reward in mind for all that you go through in its name. There are only random fluctuations of pleasure and pain. There is only this moment. Make of it what you will.
