Please refrain from pencil-whipping things out for the mail that genuinely hold meaning for you, or you otherwise expect others to be able to interpret. With recent technological advancements a myriad of ways of standardizing our correspondence are currently available. Even for the less technically astute there are still type writers - please use them or hire a competent secretary.

They scrawl these things out in the margins of donations they make as tributes to loved ones (I get a lot of these) - in cuniform! Some people who are obviously in advanced stages of Parkinsons write more legibly! SO I spend a lot of time typing approximations into a database fishing for 'hit' . . .
