"You Made a Difference" Awards for October

As quoted from Capital Hospice's Monthly Newsletter (I guess they need something to put in these things):
Dean Mosher, Development - Falls Church
"When our computer service bureau lost its Citrix connection, more than a week's worth of gifts had not been keyed. Dean, using his own creative shortcuts and efficiencies, logged more than 370 gifts to keep us on track in processing and acknowledging donors' contributions. Dean is the newest member of our data entry team and has demonstrated an impressive command of the database and increased his speed without sacrificing accuracy. Way to go, Dean!"
Because rarely do I get a chance to toot my own horn, especially in the workaday world of hospice administration. I swear, the secret to my success here has been in the use of simple keyboard shortcuts which no body else around here uses, apparently.

Kudos, bud. There's nothing like recognition to make you feel valued at a job. If you're doing a superb job and your workplace acknoweldges it, that says something good about them too. It's hard to find workplaces that open their eyes to the treasures they have. Congrats not only on having gone above and beyond, but for having found one of the rare places out there that values its people.

Woo hoo! Way to go! Now you should look at them and say, "That'd be great... with a raise". Just kidding!
