All I really want to do for father's day is to go out for sushi and sake with some folks that really appreciate sushi; I've been craving sashimi lately. I don't think that's too much to ask, even from someone who's crap as a dad, like myself.

However, the plan as it stands is to hit up KD on Sunday to get our hot-n-tired on. deviathan, you've been invited and your admission fee is covered if you would honor us with your presence, and it would be especially cool to go with someone with an insider's perspective - that much is inevitable.

It's bizarre that of all the people I know the ones that I'm closest to I stand at such a sharp contrast to when it comes to food. Rather, it sucks to be the most adventurous one I know when it comes to things like eats!

mmm, i hear that. i've really gotten into a lot of non-american food, i love afghani food and indian food. oh wow it's so good. and when i go out with people sometimes they're like, jenn, we're not eating that, it's weird.

hey, i'm adventurous with food, I just don't like raw fish or seaweed and as such, not a sushi fan. but if you're digging afghani, we found a nifty place right down the street.

haha. yeah, i don't do the raw fish part of sushi and i can only eat seaweed in small doses.

but mmm afghani. i think the first time i had that was in philly and it was just incredible. i can't seem to find any decent afghani places in baltimore, which is a shame. what's the place near you called?

yeah, there's some awesome afghani places down in Olde City in Philly--been to a few of them myself. The one that's near us is on Rt. 236--kabob place, but has great lamb/chicken stews. they have a few other locations as well.

i'm hanging in there... gearing up for a busy summer after an insane spring!!!

since my dad died, my brother and i celebrate 'mothers/fathers day' and get my mom something really silly. one year i got my mom this big puppet doll of steve irwin (the guy from the animal planet channel) because she had a crush on him. hahaha. it was so funny because she would walk around and talk in an australian accent. it made the day easier right after he died. =)

i'm doing what i never got to do as a kid on father's day...going to a baseball game.

the house is baggage right now, so i don't want to be anywhere near mom and dad on sunday. i feel bad about it, but that's just the way it is.

My pops asked me this morning, on my way out the door, what my plans were; he sounded a little disappointed, perhaps, that they didn't include anything he'd be interested to do. Now that I think of it I didn't even wish him a happy father's day.

Hey - you got Sushi and your hot and tired on! Are you as tired and cranky as lil' d and I are today? Yuck! And some asshole who was off work all day (yes, my next door neighbor) waited to do their laundry tonight. Who needs clean clothes for work anyway? Damn, I need sleep and some pain relievers.
