Steam Ale (extract)
Oct. 29th, 2006 12:00 ammakes 5 gals.
7:25PM - added No. Brewers hops to sparge bag.
Bittering and finishing with pelleted hops in a sparge bag seems to make very little difference as I'm still seeing that free-floating trub still makes its way into the wort.
O.G. - 1.064 (60˚F)
F.G. - 1.016 (60˚F) est. {1.022}
<-----EDIT----->
Bittering and finishing with pelleted hops in a sparge bag helped keep 2 C. of what looks like poop out of the wort. Virtually no trub!
<-----EDIT ON NOV 1ST----->
AM - Racked to 2ndary fermenter on the 3rd day. There is a post to this batch's fermentation at
home_brewing.
<-----EDIT ON NOV 10TH----->

<-----EDIT ON JAN 14TH----->
This beer was planned for thanksgiving but was still somewhat young. Didn't start to mellow until Christmas. Next attempt allow more time to bottle condition.
